Coco the Blackbird
Today I sat out in the garden, under an awning as it was hot, and watched the men's final at Wimbledon on my laptop. I decided to set my camera up on the tripod and to shoot some pics as the afternoon unfolded.
There are many flowers I could have chosen as my Blip - monarda (my favourite), clematis, honeysuckle and pelargonium - not to mention the grasses.
But then there are the birds....
Now I'm not that great at birds. Unlike flowers, they tend to move!! So I thought today was a good time to try to impove.
There is a bramble hedge at the bottom of my garden which provides cover for many birds. A family of Sparrows live there and visit regularly. Great Tits and Blue Tits also use it and the Long Tailed Tits pass through. Then there are the Blackbirds who just love the cherries on the trees.
The afternoon's bird visits turned into a bit of a circus. There was the trapeze artist Blue Tit on the fat block, the tightrope walking Sparrow balancing precariously to lean out for some food and then the clowns arrived in the shape of the Blackbirds. So I give you Coco the Blackbird waiting for his sibling to finish with the bird bath!
