Outeniqua Mountains

Seen from across a pond at Soeteweide. Lovely sunny weather, as can be seen - this is mid winter and not too bad!
Cold at night, but lovely fleecy sheets and warm covers (and a sleeping partner) make it cosy and comfortable.

Since I have taken this image, a fairly thick cloud presence has moved in and that can spell only one thing - rain or cold, or both.

The fig tree was cut down this morning! I could not believe it when I heard the sounds of a saw and realised what was going on.
With the branches hanging in our property, each year we tasted quite a few sweet green figs!
A pity!
