The Circus Is In Town
Well - it was in Penrith.
And half the roads in Penrith were closed.
So it took about 20 minutes to go 1/2mile.
We couldn't even blame the circus ....... it wasn't working at the time.
The reason we stopped in Penrith was to try and stop the Cygnet from smelling so foul.
We left Livingston to head to Rotherham for No1 sons' birthday and didn't even get to Biggar before he threw up in spectacular fashion.............. Jeez did it stink - and it got into all the nooks and crannies of his car seat (and there are a surprising number of them).
The clean up operation was completed as best we could and despite the can of air freshener is still smelt revolting.
Then not far from Penrith the wee horror let rip from the other end - and that smelt just as bad as the vomit.
So Penrith got the honour of our company while we tried to get the smell out of our nostrils and Bags (formally known as daughter) had the fun job of cleaning him up as best she could.
Then of course there was the stop start 20miles on the A1 south of Scotch Corner.
Just as well there was a cheery welcome and a nice cuppa when we arrived at our destination.
And just as well the smelly horror behaved and slept well overnight (because he was sharing a room with SWMBO and me).
