Jogging in Lumpini Park
This is my favourite statue in Lumpini park in Bangkok.Lumpini is a beautiful oasis in the middle of Bangkok. It's only a small park but is well used. In the mornings there are lots of exercise classes going on and joggers running round the track which goes right round the perimeter . Cyclists are allowed to use the track between 10 and 3 every day. There are lots of playgrounds, a lake, a swimming pool , outdoor gyms and even a concert hall. This statue is right by the side of the running track and is very motivating whilst trying to keep going in the heat and humidity. It's called Women in the next 3 Decades and suggests I guess that we are changing shape! What I find interesting is that in Bangkok there are lots of people - men and women who are what I suspect would be classified as over weight where as in Cambodia this is still very unusual. A not so welcome side effect of being part of an affluent and developed society I suppose
