camp LeadUp day 6
This is our camp early in the morning before everyone except me was up and awake.
after packing our camp and having a small breakfast of bread with custard we were picked up and brought back to Altnacriche for a nice shower and a good warm breakfast made by our leaders. It was very interesting to hear how the other groups spend their night out camping and it was very amusing to hear from them during the debrief session. After lunch where our serving went a lot better than at breakfast yesterday we spend our free time cleaning the premises.
Today's group time dealt with leadership and what type of team member we are.
After the evening meal we (as the only group) had to organize and lead our second session of bible study and worship. We invited Tima (i think thats how you spell his name) a visitor from Ukraine to share a bit about his work there.
The bible teaching dealt with how Jesus will offer us three things: A potential surprise to those who think they belong into the kingdom of God and those who dont; a lasting offence to those who think God only treats them how they think they deserve it; and how he offers us a surprising forgiveness. The blog entry by my friend deals with the message more in depth here.
As an activity we chose to have a ceilidh (yay spelled it correctly on my first try) and that was loads of fun and I actually joined in a couple of the dances although I generally dislike dancing.
