Girls' Weekend

Today was the start of our girls' weekend. Hubby was here until lunchtime then headed off to his friend's house for a boys weekend (usually 3 or 4 times per year when they each take a turn at each others houses).

I wasn't feeling well though so after lunch we played in the house and then went to the park. H loved walking round and pointing and shouting at all of the birds, stones, flowers and anyone/thing she came across. What used to be a 5 minute walk now takes about 15 minutes! Mainly because anything she comes across, she has to say goodbye to several times over - "bye bye flowers" "bye bye chute" etc.

H hadn't had a nap today, so she was happy to go to bed a bit earlier and give me some time to myself. I spent the evening watching some recorded programmes and a bit of Glastonbury and Wimbledon.
