Howth

We started the day with a walking tour of Trinity College in the city center of Dublin. The college is beautiful and we got to see the Book of Kells (which honestly wasn't all that intriguing to me). Then we had lunch at a pub called O'Neills that had about 10 thousand different rooms you could go into with bars (yes, exaggeration). The food was decent, but I am not really a fan of Irish food. The bar was really cool, though! The bathrooms toilets had blacklights in them that turned the toilet paper blue. Interesting, intriguing, amusing...kinda cool. This was the first time we did something as a big group. A lot of us were at lunch at O'Neills so it was nice hanging out with everyone.

After lunch we met the rest of the group to take the train Dart out to Howth. A little seaside town. There we met a couple adorable sea lions and decided to hike up to the cliffs. We got to a decently high point when we got stuck in a hurricane downpour and crazy winds. The weather in Ireland is so confusing. We stood at the top of the cliff with our umbrellas up, backs to the rain and after 10/15 minutes the rain finally let up and the sun was out again. My entire back was soaking wet. If you looked at me from the front, you would have no clue that I was stuck in the rainstorm, but from the back you could tell. The back of my jeans were dark blue, the front light blue. Walked back towards the train station and everyone went into the Blood Stream, a pub where Alex poured her own Guinness which is pretty cool! My jeans didn't dry for the rest of the day. We went back to the hotel to change and then Gabby, Brittany, Marissa, Courtney, and I got some REAL food at the Hard Rock Café. It was delicious! We met everyone at a pub called the Temple Bar in the Temple Bar. Live music, strange Argentinians, it was really fun!
