Woodpigeon

This pigeon landed rather heavily under the plum tree when I was photographing the birds and gave me quite a fright as I'm sure I did the same for him (don't think he saw me until the last moment before he landed). Lovely birds Woodpigeons, especially when you see them close up with their petrol-green smudge above the white neck patch and rosy pink breast (this photo doesn't show it off at its best but in the sunshine it is stunning! See here). I also got a shot of a male House Sparrow possibly the mate of the female I blipped yesterday? She was back again as well as another female so who knows!
