Beheaded or perhaps derooted
It was a relatively relaxed start to the day, I tihnk I scuppered some plans for a potential breakfast in bed, not sure when I had that the last time, but I had to get the car for a service and the number one son was beginning to whine.
A lovely wander back through the grounds of our local hospital, bumped into some lost French people looking for a campsite which shares its name with a local street. It rained on and off all day but it was never crazy rain, it was spitting each and every time.
Child #2 had her dance exam today, next weekend it is her dance show, hmm yes quiet weekends are few and far between. Exam went ok, we shall find out in a few weeks time if she passed. Meanwhile I enjoyed a moment of peace for Father's Day, a day which should be celebrated by fathers all round the world, I mean come on, we tell bad jokes, we fail to repair broken toys (well I actually managed to repair a long standing scooter problem), we sing really bad songs about Autumn Leaves, we rarely provide any support around the house and would never dare go near the kitchen, we are constantly watching football or other sports, we never change nappies, let alone wash them and epitomise laziness. So I raise a glass to all the oppressed fathers of the world.
