Pond resident
I went into the garden this morning on a wildlife safari. I was hoping one of the dragonfly larva had emerged onto a stem ready to shed so I could show you the next stage. No luck, it's far too cool and damp. What doesn't suit one is perfect for another though. As I was examining the stems I spotted this little chap keeping his head down and enjoying all the wetness. I think he's a frog but could be a young toad. He is certainly bigger than the last time I saw him a couple of weeks ago, I think there are 2 or 3 around. Then I spotted the young blue-tits and great-tits on the nut feeder. I got some nice shots, there were 5 at a time on some. They'll be there again tomorrow, the frog is more elusive so wins the day!
Had to blip early as I am out at rehearsal again all afternoon. Our musical maestro also has his 60th birthday today so it's back to his place for 'a bit of a do' this evening.
