'Johnny Redhat' alias a young woodpecker!

I blipped his dad on 31st January. This young one is visiting regularly at the moment and was even seen drinking out of the pond. I am so pleased to have my new camera, I could never have got this close-up shot with my previous model. It was taken through the window too as woodpeckers in particular are very nervous and fly off at the least disturbance. It's good to know these fascinating birds are thriving.
Rain, rain and more rain today. Still, much to be cheerful about, we are now booked for a week in The Lake District soon!
