What 's that ... no beavers?

A back blip just now , still to get a blip for today , pouring rain so might have to find something inside.

Any way this is a shot taken at Barnaluasgan while waiting patiently as ever ( I do patience very well) for the Beavers to cross the loch to the dam. We waited from about 7:30 till 10:00, no show. Can you imaging a group of camera club members and some tourists who joined us all waiting and scanning the loch for the arrival of said beavers. We had all decided to be absolutely still and silent and give them 10 more minutes then another group of tourists arrived and clumped their way , noisly ( very ) along the boardwalk. I did manage not to give a school teacher glare at them , honest !

Anyway four of us headed round to the dam, some waited and others got fed up and left. We squelched our way through the lochan created by the beavers when they were building their dam. almost left a welly boot in the smelly mud, had to wrench it out while using my tripod to steady me. Thought at one point I was going to fall headlong into the mud.

Wonder if the beavers were shying away after all the media attention. never mind we'll go back another night.

I did manage a few early shots before the others came when the light was good so here is a shot from the loch up the road from the beaver dam. Slight manipulation here , wonder if it is noticeable, let me know if it is.
