Lazy Day Sitting In The Sun

We had avery lazy day today, pottering around the garden , not doing much , then I spotted this damsel fly and that was it. Set up the tripod by the pool and waited , and waited and waited.

Got out a book and read until the damsel fly came back. Sod's Law that it landed on spots that didn't show it to best advantage, particularly lazing for long periods of time on a white quartz boulder which just reflected so much sunlight that I gave up on that spot and waited , and waited , and waited.

Finally saw one land some reeds but too many highlights on the shiny leaves.I preferred this shot on a sand stone boulder..
LARGE might be worth a peek.


I did get a visit from a very unusual looking damsel fly on the long grasses by the pool but it wasn't sharp anywhere on the tail.Hope it comes back another day. probably not tomorow as we're in for more rain.
