Putting it down in words.

My youngest son is taking after his father in many ways, namely a talent for basketball, a love of football and a keen interest in songwriting. (His daddy has 3 published albums under the name oojami)

He is often penning new lyrics which he will then sing to us, generally to the same tune! Slow boyband style is his genre of choice at the moment.
His English writing is unpracticed as he attends school in Turkey so one has to have deciphering skills to be able to make them out. Here is one he wrote earlier today. I think he ripped it up because he himself couldn't read it.
The gist of it is:
All I want is a free life
Looking at people just makes me cry
I want to walk on the street without being scared
All I want is a free life.

Quite deep for a 7 and 3/4 year old.
I am going to help him turn it into a proper song.

In other news, Volkan/Ivan turned up again today and has now gone swimming with my husband and boys at the seaside.
