Chilean Flamingos

Spent the day at WWT Slimbridge Wetland Centre. Two fold reason for the visit, firstly there was a flock of Eight Snow Geese reported yesterday (these may be true wild birds or just escapees, the jury is out) and secondly it's just a nice place to visit to get close up views of ducks, geese, cranes and flamingos.

After RCB got his Snow Goose blip we dumped the serious bird watching stuff back in the car and played at being tourists wandering round the various enclosures. It was nice to get up close to some of the vagrants we'd seen in the wild - American Wigeon, Ring-necked Duck, Lesser White-fronted Goose, Red-breasted Goose & Common Crane all came in for close inspection.
