The Wall
After dropping the older Minions off at nursery and playgroup we headed out for some fresh air and exercise. The only downside was the weather. It had been bucketing rain since the early hours of the morning and the streets were running like rivers. I think we must be getting the share of the rain intended for down south as well as our own, I don't think it's been dry for more than 24 consecutive hours since the start of May. The rain certainly didn't please the junior Minions either as they were both confined to the buggy behind what, within about five minutes, ended up being a very steamy rain cover. Even a packet of yogurt raisins didn't placate them for long and so we headed home after only an hour. Still, this probably wasn't a bad thing as my right boot seems to have sprung a leak and my jeans were holding so much water they could probably have irrigated an entire field.
With the rain carrying on into the afternoon we got the blocks out to entertain the Minions (the ones I failed to get rid of at the car boot sale. All 1100 of them). This went down quite well and a good few hours were spent building towers and castles. This is about the best attempt, there was a higher one but it came crashing down on top of Minion number six and just about knocked him out so for safetys sake we decided to go for stability over height.
Quote of the day: "I'm going to live in that". Minion number six. Right before the tower landed on his head.
