Woke up to a silent house today as Alana slept at her friends after the party. I get the impression that this ten year olds birthday party turned into an all nighter, possibly a sign of things to come!

A dull and rainy day full of Sunday feeling. We decided to brighten it by watching Doctor Who and drinking hot chocolate with squirty cream.

Louis came home late afternoon and I think he's had a great time. I think his statement that he would like to go live with his cousin's family confirms this. I did tell him that I sort of liked having him here and I'm not sure his response, that if he moved I could be his grandad(!?), is what I wanted to hear! He's further revised his wishes since - he stays here and his cousins come live with us. I think we should just stick with the sleepovers.

The photo is of a Warhammer Space Marine figure, one of two given to Louis by cousin S. The other one has no arms so I went with the unpainted white one. Louis has asked me several times to make some arms for the other one.
