Almost there !

Well there was only one possible subject for today's blip - L and H doing the Moonwalk. In fact I should have thought about it and had the before and after shots, yesterday and today, but having put up an image of the eagle in the rain, I generally don't like changing a blip once it's up there. It seems unfair on anyone who has seen or commented on the original one. For those who don't know, the Moonwalk is a charity walk (raising funds for and awareness of breast cancer). As a result, the walkers, mostly women, but also about 10% men, walk through the night in brightly decorated bras! There is a "half moon" of 13 miles, but L and H were in the full walk - a marathon distance of just over 26 miles, starting at midnight and finishing this morning. As they crossed the line the big electronic clock seemed to say it was just after ten, but we later realised that must have been an elapsed time for the first wave, who'd set off at 11:30pm or so, and L and H had in fact completed the distance in about 9 hours 40 mins. I went out to find them in the final stretch, meeting them with about a mile and a half to go. I didn't walk with them - it was their walk, after all - but dodged ahead to get a few pictures of the final bit of the walk. The walk finished back where it had started at the pink tented village in Inverleith Park, a short distance from this marker at 26 miles. They're both having a bit of a nap now and will be having a lazy day when they wake up later. I'm on tea and coffee-making duties for the rest of the day !

And I know the image quality isn't everything it should be, but the marker was where the marker was, and the sun had come out, casting strong shadows under the tree...
