Braeriach
Today the weather forecast threatened snow, hail, wind, thunderstorms, rain, sunshine - a typical summer day in Scotland then. It did suggest that the weather would deteriorate later in the day so undeterred we set off early to climb Braeriach via Chalamain Gap and across the Lairg Ghru.
4 hours 10 mins later we were standing on the summit in a snow storm! (Munros book said 4hrs so putting down the extra time to much faffing with waterproofs, hats, gloves etc!)
Through the cloud we did catch occasional glimpses of other mountains and into the coires - but this is definitely a mountain to do again on a better day. This blip is the only photo I took - by the time I got my camera out the gap in the clouds had all but disappeared again. Annoyingly by the time we'd got halfway down the sun came out and it was a really sunny evening with clear views
