Rugger Bugger

This is the best of a bad lot. I liked these on the camera screen - didn't spot my screwed-up expression. NM, was still good practice with the lights & backgrounds. I got the solid black background I was looking for, but my white balance was out and I increased the blacks a little in post-processing to help add depth. Could've got away without it, but I felt it added something to my otherwise very plain coupon!

Yvonne & Stephen left early for Arbroath... apparently their sat nav took them over the severn bridge though, which is a bit odd.

Our Iron packed in - started pouring water out as fast as I was pouring it in (and no, not because it was full!) Off to John Lewis it was, where it was refunded without a squibble, despite looking a bit worse for wear. Impressive service. They offered an exchange, but the same one was out of stock and we didn't like the ones they had.

Took ourselves over the severn bridge, for some lunch and shopping in Bristol. Got myself a new outfit... and managed 30" waist jeans for the first time in ages. And comfortably too! Very pleased with my wee self. Mathew also got a new outfit, we're all geared up for Surrey next weekend, for Lucas' 3rd birthday party.

Also managed to get a new iron.. John Lewis in Bristol didn't have the same model as our old one either so we went to Tesco... picked one we wanted, and then found out when we went to pay that it had a tenner off... and then some staff discount on top of that (or rather, off the top of that)...overall, a bonus. Bought a couple of VERY cheap photo frames as well.

Got chatting to a fellow flickr user, and convinced him to start blipping... he hasn't yet, but he has set up an account, so I'll be subscribing once he's posted something :)
