Meeting The Mustins

The heat rose to almost one hundred Fahrenheit (38C) today, and I felt lucky enough to get anything done. I found a "Find-a-Grave" request in my inbox in the morning for a family plot in our nearby cemetery. A descendant needed photgraphs of these old graves, dating from the early 19th through mid-20th Century. Once I stopped in at the office for a chat and a map of section F, the graves were a cynch to find and shoot, one at a time. I have not the slightest idea what these Mustins did with their lives, except that one was a Reverend. Some of the stones were completely illegible.

My sister urged me to join Find-a-Grave and volunteer to take pictures. She's the family genealogist, and she has expanded our knowledge through many generations and many branches of our ancestry. Doing this simple errand filled in a mostly idle day and kept me in the spirit of sharing useful information with strangers for the common good.

That's my blip for this scorcher of a day!
