Long-Horned Moth

Today I did leg 6b of the Sheffield Country walk, which is a section I really like, and I had a beautiful day for it. One of it's features is the magnificent view across the City, and some of the north western suburbs, and beyond into the Peak District. It feels much later than early June: the ling is in bloom, and the bilberries are starting to ripen.
As I started to ascend onto Birley Edge, a cloud of what I thought at first were midges rose above the bracken, but on closer inspection, I saw that they were micro moths. I checked them out in my book, and am pretty confident that they are indeed long-horned moths.
