A very special cake for a very special day

High school graduation day for my niece. Lots of photographs of her and of other family members: Happy, beautiful women young and old.

But then there was the cake. A lovely specimen with a grey marzipan elephant wearing a mortar board on its head while sitting on green grass. A few cute narrow DOF photographs of the elephant, sure. And then my sister cut the cake.This lovely girl, who had been eying the cake the whole afternoon, shwooshed up in her beautiful tulle skirted red bowed party dress and watched patiently.

Congratulations to Shona. Her university will be getting a wonderful new student.
