Big, beautiful, orange poppy!! :-))

Well....I utterly adore these flowers!!! The first time I saw one was the spring after I bought my house, and one morning as I came out of the house very early, and not knowing WHAT this plant was in my garden....I was met with THIS sight!!! It just blew me away!!! They are so beautiful!!!!!!!!

NOW...... this blip and shot.....

This, for me anyway, is NOT my normal style!! It's pretty arty even for me!! And I'm not the artistic type. I'm practical, and analytical (hence my love of macro!!)....the beauty is in the detail!!!! But when I got home this beauty awaited me!! And they don't last long!! A natural blue sky background was out!! It's grey and flat today!! Picking the flower was a no-no!! I can't edit!! SOOOO...


This was a background I just placed behind my beauty!! But I have a funny gut feeling about it!!! Is it nerves...'cause I've taken a more artistic leap, and I'm not so confident!! OR...is it a bad gut feeling, cause I've spoiled a thing of beauty!!!

Today...I would so appreciate some advice...even critisism (positive). I need help to decide...should I dabble further occassioally, or steer clear, and stick with what I feel more comfy with???!!!
