Chipas
Today is the day to honor our veterans....Memorial Day. At our home it also consisted of nothing on the calendar and our first opportunity of sleeping in in a very long time. It was wonderful. Even Loren said how nice it was to have a day like this where we don't have to go anywhere. I caught up on 5 loads of laundry and piles of paperwork today. The boys watched TV, played video games, rode their bikes and played 'pretend' games in the living room. At the end of the night, Gary made an awesome tri-tip while I overlooked Loren making a food called chipas. For his Spanish class, he did a report on Argentina...including facts and a history about the country, a drawing of their flag, a detailed map of the country and their anthem. To top it off, he was to cook an Argentinean dish for the fiesta tomorrow. He chose to make chipas (aka Argentinean Cheese Bread) seen in my blip photo.
