Thanks Girls!

We are lucky to have 2 sets of friends/neighbours nearby who keep hens. We look after both sets quite regularly and rarely buy eggs. These beauties are fairly new to the job and have just started laying. We have been feeding and putting them to bed all week and have a few super eggs as reward. It's lovely to see them truly free ranging and scratching in the ground. They have a small field and make full use of it. The one in the 'dust bath' got up just after this shot and shook herself, there was a great cloud of dust and she looked well pleased with herself.
Spent all morning at the auction. I haven't been for a month or two as we have been away. For a few pounds and a lot of fun washing everything this afternoon, I now have a couple of boxes full of goodies for the shop.
