Nancy's Iris

We have a clump of these lovely iris and this is the first to open today. Our old neighbour let us split some from her patch a few years ago and they are thriving now. Sadly she is no longer around but it's another way of thinking of her when these flowers come out so we always refer to them as Nancy's irises.
It has been grey and wet today, 'musn't grumble' as most places could do with some rain. I haven't ventured far but kept pretty occupied indoors. Did manage a walk this afternoon and came back wet after a sharp shower. Also my wellies don't protect me from the long wet grass so my trousers at knee height were soaked! C'est la vie.
