Save the Dux

We let the movers in to start packing up our life, and basically to save me strangling Mrs O we left them to it and went for a walk round the neighbourhood that has been our home for 14 years. What a sad sight it is, not only is the damage terrible but there is no sign of anything being done to change that situation. We came across some of the neighbours that were at temporary coffee shop that has been set up on the opposite side of the road to where there local watering hole was.
Then we dropped in to say goodbye to Martin and Sarah at the Canterbury Cheesemongers, it was great to see them and to see their business up and running so well but sad to know they wont be there when I have that Cheese urge.
After that we went past the "Dux" and its terrible to see our 'local' is such a mess, there seems to be a campaign going on to get the Dux De Lux reopened as soon as possible but the Arts Centre don?t seem to happy to be putting the money into it, oh let the politics continue. It had to be the blip today.

It got me thinking...........

This pub was so much a part the atmosphere of the Arts Centre how on earth can the place be the same without it. I sincerely hope that the Dux gets open as soon as possible I know I could really have enjoyed one last Dux Lager today to make the pain go away.
