Today's the day ................... to take wife up t'allotment

Back in July last year, not long after I started blipping, we heard that we had got an allotment. Great excitement was closely followed by deep despair because it was a piece of land that hadn't had anything growing on it apart from nettles and couch grass for many a year.

Undaunted - Will set to and slowly but surely cleared off the weeds and riddled the soil to take out the many stones. He used bits of old pallet wood to make raised beds and put the stones down to make paths. I wish I could say that I helped him - but I can claim no credit at all. He did it all by himself.

And look at it now! The early potatoes are just about ready for picking and everything else is coming on a treat. We quite often take a walk up there in the evening just to check that everything is ok - just like a proper couple of O.A.Ps ...................!
