Petunias
As evidenced on the flowers...rain, rain, rain.
Every time I see a petunia, or even say the word...I think of P-P-Petunia Pig, and her boyfriend P-P-Porky Pig.
I miss the old cartoons of my youth. Something is missing with the newer versions of cartoons. I'd like to kick Scooby-doo in the teeth, and I'd like to give his pal Shaggy a marine haircut. I'd like to take Beavis and Butt-head by their ears, and drag them to the principles office. I can't get into the Simpsons, South Park, or the King of the Hill. I think they try to be a little too cute, and a little too dirty.
A few observations about the old classics. (Anytime you say the words old classics...you know you're ancient.)
The Road Runner- Where did Wily Coyote get the money to buy all that stuff from Acme? Did he have a job? How did he survive all those falls from the cliff?
Woody Woodpecker- How did he not injure himself with that laugh/cackle? Could'nt he do anything with that cowlick?
Mighty Mouse- He wore the spandex well as he yelled, "Here I come to save the dayyyyyyyyy!!!!!
Yogi Bear- "Hey Boo-Boo...how about rustling up some pic-aa-nic baskets?" The background of Jellystone Park make me wanted to visit Yellowstone Park.
Tweety Bird- "i tawt I taw a puddy tat." Both Tweety and Sylvester the cat were a little annoying.
Speedy Gonzales- That mouse from Mexico could really move.
Augie Doggy and Doggy Daddy- In every episode there was a good message, but where was mom?
The Flintstones- I had a little crush on Wilma. Why did'nt they have more bugs in the house with no glass in the windows? How cool would it be to work on a dinosaur, and also have one at home for a pet? Think how much farther ahead we would be now if we used foot-power in our cars instead of gasoline?
The Jetsons- I had a little crush on Jane.(Do you see a trend?) I also liked Astro, the dog, and Rosie , the robot maid...although she did'nt work too good.
Popeye the Sailor Man- I DID NOT have a crush on Olive Oyl. Even Popeye could not make me like spinach. Brutus was a bully, and Wimpy was the first TV character to have credit. "I will gladly pay you on Friday for a hamburger today."
Some great old shows. Gone are the days......
