necessary?

i'm sure there's a very good economic reason for this scene - forestry commission is probably in there somewhere - but this looks awful. last year the slope was clothed in trees. leaving this poor rowan is meant to say it was done with thought for the environment?

another scene of stumps and the odd deciduous tree left is on the road north to kilmartin - it used to be like driving through a luscious green tunnel - now it's just ugly!
