Pretty Puccon
The family went hiking today. I got a few pictures and then tripped and fell, jamming one of my cameras, the canon sx30, which I mostly use to photograph the granddaughter and family. I also had my Olympus with a macro lens for wildflowers. I tripped and fell against the hillside banging the canon into the slope. It quit working. Rather than giving into my first desire to panic and run around in circles while waving my arms in the air, I kept hiking and decided to wait until we returned to the car. This meant I mostly got wildflower photos. It turned out to be a dislodged battery door, so not panicking was appropriate and deciding not to disassemble the camera in the dirt was also a good thing, I think.
This is the best flower picture today. From trying to key it out via the internet I have concluded that this is probably a Puccoon, and more to the point, a Pretty Puccoon.
