A Day of Education
This afternoon, we went down to the local pub in Baffins for a bite to eat and a cheeky pint. Oliver asked if we could take the car, but soon enjoyed the fresh air when we put him straight with our plans. Lunch was taking a while to arrive, so we had a cheeky game of darts. Not expecting a six year old to be able to aim a dart to a board well over head height, I amended the rules to give him a fair chance. This challenge, he accepted and we had an excellent game with only one 'point seperating me and Oliver.
It did take him a short while to get used to throwing the dart, hence me standing well clear whilst he took his first shot, butg once he mastered the technique, he did quite well. I've already had a request for a rematch on a later date (maybe sometime after our holiday).
This lunch was followed by a spell in the park, where Emsie couldn't resist a go on the slide - well why not..... You're never too old! Even Megan didn't escape the fun as Emma had brought a couple of books with her, which Megan really seemed to enjoy. A lovely end to a nice weekend!
