Anniversary

Five years ago today, we were married. I have developed a little tradition of doing a self-potrait of us on or near our anniversary so here is this year's (somewhat rushed) entry. When we woke up this morning, Mr. Apple was insistant on going to hike the Kalalau trail and I am very glad he was because we would have been unable to do it any other day. It was a very rough trail, with beautiful scenery, that became treacherous once the rains arrived and poured on us every few minutes or so. Poured. Like, a lot. The trail was made up of stones that were now covered in red mud so each and every single footstep had to be measured and calculated. We destroyed our shoes and socks. Still, it was a fantastic way to celebrate our marriage thus far. After we got home, rested, and showered (and had to dry Mr. Apple's shoes in the dryer since he only brought one paid to Hawaii) we went out to dinner at Hanalei's finest restaurant, Bar Acuda, for a very lovely dinner. p.s. We were already trying to recall what we've done on all our anniversaries and couldn't remember them. Hmm... I said "We'll check blip when we get home, blip will tell us!" (You know you're an addict when...)
