Recreational

Arrived at the Hotel fairly late and did a bit of brief exploring of the Hotels recreational facilities. It seemed quite appropriate really as when we checked in and signed for our rooms we were asked to initial a section to acknowledge the Hotels no smoking policy. This was somewhat of a novelty in itself as I wouldn't exactly describe the Dutch as a non-smoking nation! A closer examination of the policy small print revealed that it wasn't only tobacco products that we were promising not to smoke in the Hotel but also any form of recreational drug. Judging by the (scary) size of the Chessset in the garden this did seem a sensible precaution....

Other than the novel twist on the no smoking policy I have to say that it was very difficult to determine exactly where in Europe we were...it's all starting to look so homogenous these days.
