Today I worked in Landon's class and then took my sick fur-baby Luke to the vet. He ended up having an Upper Respiratory Infection that turned into a possible bacterial infection. He's been weepy and sneezing like mad, warm and lethargic. So the vet gave him an antibiotic shot (saves me from giving him meds twice a day for 10 days). Then he sent me home with an eye med to help with the eye infection. When I had almost gotten home with Luke finally, Liam gives me a call (only 2 hrs. before school lets out), to let me know his wire came off of his braces due to a missing rubber band. After pleading with him to hang in there for 2 more hours considering I'd already been at the school for quite a while and was almost home, he still wanted to go straight to the orthodontist saying the wire was poking him. Grrrrrrr. So back to the school I go and across town we go to the orthodontist for an emergency repair (and with Luke still meowing in his crate). After the repair it was time to head BACK to the school to get Landon and then to Loren's school to pick him up. With the price of gas being over $4 right now, these trips all over town are killing us.
