Waiting Patiently . . . .
Poor day, weather-wise. Grey, windy, damp, with misty spells and occasional showers, but at least it was fairly mild! The grass is growing like a thing possessed, as are the weeds and luckily the recently transplanted seedlings too.
This morning Ollie and I headed off round the cliffs, once I'd dug out my summer weight cagoule, which hasn't seen the light of day since last summer. My big winter waterproof jacket is still on the hooks at the back door, just in case it turns cold again! I never put it away completely - that would definitely be tempting fate!
This afternoon the local community garden was doing its annual cream teas and plant sale to raise some much needed funds. I washed dishes for three hours, and watched the ferry come and go and the various waders striding about on the mud in the harbour, looking for tasty morsels! There are a lot of worse ways to spend the afternoon and the bonus was I got to take home some surplus scones filled with jam and cream and a couple of meringues to a poor husband who was valiantly pond building in my absence!
