Yorkshire Photographic Union Annual Exhibition in
Today was a day to celebrate the achievement of some amazing Yorkshire photographers. Three hundred and fifty images (a mix of print and digital) made it into the final exhibition from the 2500 images submitted and the standard was extremely high. Interestingly flowers were absent from the final selection - I'm not quite sure what the implication is for that.
Several of the photographs in this shot were from members of the Penistone Camera Club - the red squirrel and the dandelion seed head both won awards for their photographers, as did Usman's Ghost Train in the digital category, so although the club didn't score highly in the club competition we had three individual award winners - a fantastic achievement.
I had a fantastic pre-birthday treat and arrived home to find masses of flowers (which may be a blip later this week). More birthday celebrations tomorrow.
