alarm

The mother of all emergency blips ... my alarm clock. This clock is over thirty years old and has served me faithfully since I was sixteen.

It makes a fearsome noise when it goes off - somewhere in-between a jack hammer and a jar full of angry bees! But it does the job and as it cost only a little over £1 in 1980, I'd say I've had my monies worth out of it.
