Olivia hit the pavement today, for the first time. I let her down on the square, and it didn't even take five seconds before she saw the opportunity to choose her own direction.

I said: "let's go this way".
She pointed her finger in another direction and walked that way instead. She was very, very pleased. Until I had to put her back in the pram of course...
