Whiston Rail station

Not much to speak of at all; in fact a disappointment, I used to live in Whiston before moving back to Huyton but never knew where the station was.
It amazes me anyone can find it because its hidden away in a housing estate!

I had hoped it would still be oldie worldie but no; nothing stays the same when the modernisers get going.

I had just started to walk towards the station with camera in hand when a police car drew up.
I thought what the heck surely I couldn't be taken for a terrorist and anyway who on earth would be bothered with an out of the way station like this; so I blipped and carried on.
One cop got out of the car for a moment or two then back in and off they went, just checking everything was ok I guess.
Very unsettled day here rain sun and the occasional blue sky and fairly warm, what will tomorrow bring I wonder. cheers penny.
