Daddy Practice

We were invited to dinner at our friends house tonight. J and E have a 7 month little boy named Nicholas who is just the most mellow and sweet little boy ever. He cried once the whole night when he was hungry but the rest of the time he smiled, clapped his hands, practiced crawling, and allowed himself to be carried around and snuggled by me most of the night. :)

E had tons of positive advice for us and I got to help bathe and put him to bed before dinner. It's amazing how being pregnant/having a child bonds you to other couples that have children or are pregnant. It's nice to be with people who understand the life transitions we are going through.

Ron also got some time holding the little guy - Nicholas was pretty fascinated with him as you can see. I think he was wondering who this guy was!

Also, doesn't this baby have the most gorgeous hair ever? Apparently he's already had to have two hair cuts because it grows so fast. I hope Alana is so lucky!


P.S. The cake? It was a huge success!! I'm totally going to keep the recipe in rotation.
