Third Half-Marathon

Another Sunday, another half-marathon. This was the last of husband's 'Three half-marathon challenge' for 2011 (though he's actually registered for a couple more in the autumn).

Another night of heavy rain meant that the forest fires did not disrupt the race but some roads still closed nearby. The morning gradually got sunnier and warmer and the conditions were OK for the race. After my previous difficulties in spotting him amongst the crowds, he'd invested in a bright yellow top for this race. It was a much smaller race (about 1,300) so he was easier to spot.

This is the run up to the finishing line (he's the one on the right). I think he found this one hard work. He's been raising money for the Bobby Moore Fund and should have a total sponsorship of around £800.
