Sun Fun

Wow it's been a fabby day today! We got up pretty early and made some crispie cakes. Katie had lots of fun stirring, pouring, and shaking the sprinkles on. She had a bath in the sink which is beginning to be a little less fun, she did ask for the big bath! After her wash she didnt want me to put any clothes on her and it took about an hour to convince her otherwise.

When she finally had some clothes on, we headed to tea and toast. She had a nice time playing but made me laugh - at one point a little boy had monkey and she came to me upset. I told her go ask for it back. She went up, wagged her finger at the boy whilst gurbling away, turned to point at me, then gurbled some more at the boy. She had so clearly told him "my mum says you have to give it back". And he did!

We came home from tea and toast and got sorted before our little friend Euan and his mummy visited. They brought lunch with them for us all, which was very lovely. Also lovely was that they had brough a whole bag of happyland stuff for Katie - another house, a load of track, the bakery and some figures. Katie was exchanging it for a fisher price ark that she doesnt play with but Euan loves. So both children were very happy!

We went straight from seeing Euan to Harrison's house. ALL her little friends from the village were there. It was a christening of their fab new climbing frame/swing set. they have a wonderful collection of ride ons, seesaws, little slides, etc specially for having all the children to come and play. Its been a gorgeous afternoon and she had a great time with her friends. She spent ages giggling away as Kiki pushed her in the swing.

We've had lots of new words today, including basket, water, sit down, katie do. You may note I make no mention of sleep. Because she hasn't. Why sleep when there's so many friends to play with! She's doing really well- tired out, but very happy.
