Happy Birthday Ronnie snr!

Today is the birthday of my beloved son-in-law, R snr!

Happy birthday to you my dearest son! May God bless you with all the love, happiness, health and fortune you deserve! You are everything a mother could ever ask for in her daughter's husband! Thank you for all your kindness, love and care, for more than 20 years already! C, R jnr and I are só fortunate to have you, and we appreciate you, even if we don't say it often enough!

Dear Ronnie had to cut down all the broken pieces of our beloved silver oak tree and remove it from the garden to a dumping site, ón his birthday! ;-(

It is really só sad that we had to loose such a big part of the tree, we are really quite unfortunate with trees! This one was just on it's way to become a really nice tree, when the wind storm we had two nights ago took it's whole 'crown' out! I tried to give you shots from different angles to show the extent of the damage! The broken part was the main branch and was the biggest and highest part of the young tree!

After he removed all the branches, C discovered a pigeon's nest with the two eggs, already cracked, on the brink of hatching! What a tragedy!! We held a quick little ceremony for them, before flushing them down the toilet!! ;-o Really heartbreaking stuff!!
