Ticking Away the Moments

High Bridge Lincoln

Bit more sightseeing this morning before we went visiting again. This is the High Bridge in Lincoln - another very old part of the city, dating back to 1160.

There is a tiny pathway to the left and some narrow steps which take you up into the High Street, seems strange thinking about how many centuries people have been using that route. The building on the bridge is the High Bridge Tea Rooms - I've never been in there, I think it is just for tourists, the Americans must love it ;o)

We saw a duck with her tiny fuzzy ducklings on the river as we walked back from the High Street, big brood of 14 - couldn't get a decent photo with my iphone though, probably because I was too scared to lean right over and risk dropping it in the water!

Have backblipped from yesterday here - another bit of historical Lincoln.
