Perception
After all the excitement yesterday elsewhere in the house, a calm image to bring everyone together again. This bag should have been thrown away but holds a strange fascination for me. The colour is one that Ektachrome could never get right, it always came out yellow. (Kodak said: 'Do you want correct flesh tones or correct bright green?')
It is in fact what is traditionally called 'lime green', goodness knows why, I have never seen a lime this colour.
On my calibrated screen it is looking as it should but I imagine that it will look a great variety of different shades on others' monitors. It looks too green on my laptop screen but oddly, correct on my phone, which I would not expect.
All of which rambling techiness leads me to the thought I had which is that however sure we are of what we see, mostly it is just opinion...
** I see to my surprise that the colour has changed on uploading it, presumably part of the upload process **
What does it matter?
*** Actually, what would be interesting is if everyone said what colour they are seeing the bag as... ***
