Sea Pink
Another amazing day - bright and sunny with a light breeze. The old legs are feeling it a bit today so we just went out for a gentle mosey around Dooneen headland. The colours of the sea were Caribbean and I paddled!! It actually felt pretty warm!! It's an amazing landscape, full of huge boulders, just abandoned where the glacier left them. We saw:
a lot of sheep
a hare
dried bones
lots of sea pink and samphire in crevices
blow holes (three)
Sadly we didn't see any basking sharks though they are reputed to be in the area.
We watched The Social Network last night - very well done, but not a very edifying story. I think we're the only ones left on the planet who don't have a Facebook page!
