Sorry no recycling today!

This weekend I was away and my other half was home. He had a BBQ and even remembered to put out the recycling this week! Unfortunately he left a bit of cardboard in the glass box so the council left both the boxes full this morning! They didn't empty the boxes but they did find the time to write out a "you've been naughty slip"!

The fridge is full of Bud, might have to leave those to next week in case the box is full before next Monday!

Incidentally I read an article from Country Living while in a cafe at the weekend. Apparently now we shouldn't just recycle, we should precycle! The concept is we should try to not even have waste that needs to be recycled as the cost is still large for the environment. One suggestion was to buy in olive oil in bulk and to use the drum as a plant pot at the end. Then you're not recycling lots of plastic bottles.

Maybe I should buy a keg of Budweiser?
