Skyward

Visiting my folks in Surrey, and a day out in London. It is of course impossible to not to be impressed by the new skyscraper that it is taking shape on the south bank (although a little enveloped in the smog).

Taken from outside London Bridge station, the scale of the development surprised me a little - smaller but taller. Not the best shots in the world
but it was a day where I didn't quite get them right.

Headed to Borough Market before visiting the awesome Kernel Brewery, an insane lunch at Hawksmoor (and a LOT of steak), meandering round Soho (even seeing some Pearly Queens), before catching up with some old uni friends. A full-on day, but very enjoyable.

Sometimes I wonder whether I want to move back south, and days like today, with the variety on offer, show what you miss being Scotland, but it made me think more of moving Stateside, and the weather was certainly nicer!
